I don’t need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don’t excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life.

Like charity, I believe glamour should begin at home.

I love movies like ‘500 Days of Summer’ and ‘Juno.’ Something offbeat without the glamour and the makeup and the clothing.

That’s what keeps me humble because I know my background, know what my mother went through. I never get too high on my stardom or what I can do. My mom always says and my friends all say, ’You’re just a very low-maintenance guy’. I don’t need too much. Glamour and all that stuff don’t excite me. I am just glad I have the game of basketball in my life.

Glamour is something no woman can be born with. It’s not a gift at all. It’s more of a concoction than anything else.

Women more than men can strip war of its glamour and its out-of-date heroisms and patriotisms, and see it as a demon of destruction and hideous wrong.
