You’re a disease. And I’m the cure.

I accept the Old Testament as more of an action movie: blood, car chases, evacuations, a lot of special effects, seas dividing, mass murder, adultery. The children of God are running amok, wayward. Maybe that’s why they’re so relatable.

I never know when I’ll find myself jumping out of a helicopter or something. It’s like we’re making a new action movie every week, which is pretty thrilling.

Hollywood is throwing action movies at me.

The movies that made me want to make movies were action movies, and thrillers, and Kurosawa films, you know, where you have an opportunity every day to shoot it in an unusual way. I was looking for something like that.

I am absolutely desperate to do an action movie. And not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I actually think I’m good at it. I did it all. I was really into the routines and the choreography. I used to dance when I was younger, and so I think that came in handy.
