Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths. We must be willing to get rid of the life we planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. I have bought this wonderful machine — a computer … it seems to me to be an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy.

Prosperity is the blessing of the Old Testament; adversity is the blessing of the New.

I accept the Old Testament as more of an action movie: blood, car chases, evacuations, a lot of special effects, seas dividing, mass murder, adultery. The children of God are running amok, wayward. Maybe that’s why they’re so relatable.

The resurrection power of Jesus broke Satan’s captive power. When He led the Old Testament saints from paradise to heaven, He led captivity captive!

John the Baptist never performed any miracles. Yet, he was greater than any of the Old Testament prophets.

I loved history, particularly of the British, American and Old Testament kind.
