I accept the Old Testament as more of an action movie: blood, car chases, evacuations, a lot of special effects, seas dividing, mass murder, adultery. The children of God are running amok, wayward. Maybe that’s why they’re so relatable.

Wars are not won by evacuations.

Clearly we’re in historic times here. We have – one of the tributaries of the Mississippi River is a river called the Merrimack. And the crest areas there – they’re going to be a number of feet, 2, 3, 4, over what they were in ’93 or ’82. And on the Mississippi River itself, down below St. Louis, we’re still projecting a couple of feet over that historic number. So the bottom line is there’s a significant amount of water that’s causing evacuations and challenges throughout that whole area.

We cannot elect men to office who are afraid of premature evacuation.

U.K. citizens fleeing the Middle East and Japan have been allowed to take their animal companions with them on evacuation flights. The U.S. is not so civilized, and that’s a blot on our national copybook.

It would be rather naive to imagine that Oprah doesn’t have an Earth Evacuation Plan. You know Richard Branson does – his is in plain sight.
