We must never remain silent in the face of bigotry. We must condemn those who seek to divide us. In all quarters and at all times, we must teach tolerance and denounce racism, anti-Semitism and all ethnic or religious bigotry wherever they exist as unacceptable evils. We have no place for haters in America — none, whatsoever.

I believe all Americans who believe in freedom, tolerance and human rights have a responsibility to oppose bigotry and prejudice based on sexual orientation.

What a sad era when it is easier to smash an atom than a prejudice.

The real victim of bigotry is the white man who hides his weakness under his myth of superiority.

I would say that, you know, being Jewish, what has been most significant in my life is understanding what a Hitler – what horrible politics can mean to people and I think that’s been one of the motivating factors in my life in fighting against racism and bigotry of all kinds because when it gets out of hand, as we have seen and we are, you know – it obviously has unbelievable repercussions.

Give me your hungry, your tired, your poor, that’s what the Statue of Bigotry says. Your poor huddled masses, let’s just club them to death, and get it over with.
