I believe that we form our own lives, that we create our own reality, and that everything works out for the best.

Darkness transfigures into light, bad transfigures into good, grief transfigures into grace, empty transfigures into full. God wastes nothing – ‘makes everything work out according to his plan.’ (Ephesians 1:11).

How unbearable at times are people who are happy, people for whom everything works out.

No human ever became interesting by not failing. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person. Ever meet someone who’s always had everything work out for them with zero struggle? They usually have the depth of a puddle. Or they don’t exist.

Karma doesn’t mean that everything works out justly.

Happiness does not mean that everything works out. Usually nothing works out, but you get a kick out of it anyway.
