Life is simple. Make good decisions and good things happen. Make bad decisions and bad things happen.

Fear is crippling. Fear of the future can convince us that there is no way out and nothing is ever going to get better. Fear is blinding; it can make us miss the warning signs flashing right in front of our eyes. It can also make you miss those brilliant flashes of color, when the world isn’t so gray. But, if you think about it, being afraid isn’t such a bad thing. Because fear is a reminder that you still have something to lose. Something worth holding onto.

True prevention is not waiting for bad things to happen, it’s preventing things from happening in the first place.

A government shutdown, it isn’t the end of the world. It`s a bad thing. The government stops working for a few days. We cover it a lot. Polls turn against who ever made it stop working.

One cannot legislate the maniacs off the street… these maniacs can only be shut down by an armed citizenry. Indeed bad things can happen in nations where the citizenry is armed, but not as bad as those which seem to be threatening our disarmed citizenry in this country at this time.

Anything that shifts power from the individual judgment of free citizens to government is a bad thing.
