We killed hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East. I always say it’s the bloodiest sand anywhere in the world and it didn’t have to be that way. The single worst decision our country ever made was to go into the Middle East.

Once again, people in the foreign policy establishment want us barreling towards another reckless war instead of working on diplomacy and finding a peaceful solution.

Democrat or Republican. It does not matter. War is the raison d’état of the state.

As for America’s own wars, democracy-versus-autocracy would seem to be a misguided way to describe any of them.
